150 Farmers Completed Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Training

DASMARINAS CITY, Cavite, June 22 (PIA) — One Hundred Fifty farmers from Kaylaway, Batangas, Amadeo and Mendez, Cavite have completed the three-month training of Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Farmer’s Training Program held recently at SM City Dasmarinas.

SM Foundation Inc. brings Kabalikat sa KabuhayanThe Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan is a joint undertaking of private and government agencies in which the training program aims to assist vegetable farmers maximize the use of their land while improving the quality of their produce.

It was started in Bacolod City a few years back, since then, trainings has been continuously conducted in Rosales, Pangasinan; Sta. Rosa City, Laguna; San Fernando, Pampanga; Cebu City, Davao City and many other places where SM branches are located.

As usual practice during Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan graduation events, a harvest festival held recently at Kaylaway, Nasugbu, Batangas. Farm produce like honeydew, sweet corn, melon, watermelon, solo squash, cucumber and ampalaya were available for sale. (CPG/SM/NDS, PIA-Calabarzon)
